Built for dependable fire starting in the field, this full-size 13 cm ferrocerium rod gives you plenty of working surface and throws a powerful shower of hot sparks when paired with its dedicated striker.
The larger rod is easy to control, comfortable to use with gloves, and designed for repeated use whether you’re lighting prepared tinder, fatwood shavings, jute, or building a fire from materials gathered in the wild.
But the striker is more than just a piece of steel.
Its 90° striking edge bites cleanly into the ferro rod to produce strong sparks, while the dedicated scraping edge can be used to prepare fine tinder and wood shavings before ignition. Integrated millimetre markings make it a handy reference for map work and measurements in the field.
The striker also incorporates a bottle opener and wrench cut-out, giving one compact piece of kit several genuinely useful functions.
Both pieces are joined by a genuine leather cord, keeping the rod and striker together while adding a simple, traditional bushcraft finish.
